As part of the process of delivering our products we must, from time to time, obtain personal information about our customers.
This Privacy Policy outlines in line with our Core Values how we collect, care for, and utilise your personal data.

Collection
The information we collect is only necessary to support our operational process such as the supply, installation and maintenance of our Salvarani products.
We ensure that we do not employ in misleading or intrusive techniques to obtain personal data, advising our customers that we may record and store the information they provide us. This recorded information is used solely for valid business purposes and is never disclosed to any third party without both the knowledge and prior written consent of the customer.

Failure to collect such personal information from our customers would result in Salvarani unable to supply, install or support its products.
Information on customers is almost always obtained direct from the customer. However from time to time, there may be times when we may seek information from a third party, such as when an application for credit needs to be approved. If information is obtained from a third party it is never passed on to any other party unless it is used for the purpose for which it was originally obtained.

Use and Disclosure
Personal customer data is used to ensure that we are able to supply, install and support our Salvarani products. From time to time we may advise customers of special offers, news and promotions on our products. However, at the time of collecting the information we will ask the customer whether they object to receiving such notifications and customers should notify us if they subsequently change their mind. We will not notify customers of special offers if they have elected not to receive such information. Information will never be passed to any third party without the knowledge and prior written consent of the customer.

Data Quality
We will make every reasonable attempt to ensure that the data we obtain from customers is kept up to date and accurate. If customers become aware that their data is inaccurate they should notify us immediately and we will take action to correct the recorded data.

Data obtained from customers will be stored electronically on our computer systems. The computer systems are protected by appropriate hardware and software security procedures.
The security of our system ensures that only those people who need the information to carry out their normal operational duties will have authorisation to access the data. Information that is no longer required for the purpose of our business will be destroyed by us in a manner that it is not recoverable.

Openness
This Privacy Policy aims at ensuring our customers understand our personal information handling procedures.
Upon receipt of a properly authorised written request from a customer, we can make available to that person, details of the type of information we hold in relation to them. A nominal fee may apply to extract the recorded data.

Any inaccuracy which is advised by the customer on their personal data will be corrected accordingly.

Under no circumstances will we ever use, as our own identifiers, such things as Tax File Numbers and other identifiers assigned by Commonwealth agencies or service providers.

Individuals may have the right to anonymity where it is lawful and practicable, but generally, customers need to be identified for supply and warranty purposes.

We will not disclose any personal customer information to people in a foreign country unless the transfer is necessary for the performance of a contract between the customer and our company.

We will not collect sensitive information from you unless you consent, or the law requires it.
Sensitive information is defined by such things as bank account details, tax file numbers, salary details and the like.
